HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-22-1911 (2)Monday Lay ^2nd, 1911s 440 The Board meets to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected by the following described public improvement: Improvement Resolution No. 260-1911, providing for the improvement of South 13th Street, by constructing cement sidewalks 6 feet wide on both sides of said street from ^oath "B" t0 "D" Street, and on the west side of said street from South "D" to "E" Street: Also cement curb & gutter on both sides of said street from South "C" to •E• Street. After hearing all persons interested who appeared & being fully advised In the premise:: the Board decides that the b benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement — are equal to the estinated cost of said improvement as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, the same being confirmed without modification. A Committee from the West Side Improvement Association appeared before the Board In behalf of petitioners for the improvement of west 1st Street from Kinsey Street to National Road as petitioned for sometime ago by property owners. The Board a,,proves a primary assessment roll on the following de- scribed improvements as named, as follows, to -wit: - For the improvement of the west side of Butler Street, by con:truct- eement sidewalk 5 foot wide from Sherman Street to Bridge Ave., as provided for by Improvement Resolution No. 244-1911. For the improvement of Sherman Street, from Sheridan to Boyer St, by constructing cement sidewalk 5 foot wide on both sides of said Street, between the points named, as provided for by Improvement Resolution No. 246-1911, For the improvement of Southwest .3rd Street, from National Road to Southwest "E" Street, by constructing cement sidewalk 5 foot wide on the east side of, said street from National Road to Southwest •E• Street, & on the west side of said street from Southwest •D" to Southwest •E• Street, as provided for by Improvement Resolution No. 251-1911, The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under Improvement Resolution No. 239-1910, providing for the construct - Son of a sewer in the alley between Boyer & Crosshall streets, running from the alley between Sherman & r>rant Street, to School Street. The Board accepts the same and orders assessment roll pre -- pared, The City Civil Engineer reported in the matter of the petition for cement roadway in alley between South loth & llth Street, from South "E" to •F• Street that there are 6 resident property owners abutting on said alley and only•3 have signed petition for making Of same, on motion of Mr. Zimmerman the City Civil Engineer was directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement. The City Civil Engineer reported holes In the different streets caused by the several public corporations of the City, this matter waa on motion referred to the City Attorne directed to notify ty and be was further he several companies, to make Immediate repairs• The Clerk was directed to notifyMr. Clarence C.nnett that the Board decide that if the property owners agree to assume all extra expense in cueing Tarvia as apbinder on the South 18th Street said0V"� ment from Auth •A" to "g" Street the same would be used on said improvement. , Monday May 22nd 1911, Hr, L. M. Claims to the amount of $'1552.90 were allowed and ordered paid, The Contract under Improvement of City Hall, by re -roofing the City hall building„ Moorman & Roland contractor, being complete.: the Board accepts the same, and orders that said contracgors be paid the contract price on same,less 425.00 retained for 6 months to cover second coat of paint.
