Thursday May 25th, 1911.
The Board of Public Works of the City Of Riohmondt Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board on Thursday
May 2509 1911, at 9 O'clock A. M. All the members of said Board
being present, Messrs, Hammond, Charles and Zimmerman,
The following proceedings were had, to -wit: -
The Board aFproves a prmmar}r assessment roll In the matter, of the
construction of a Sewer in the alley between Boyer & Crosshall
Street, from the alley between Sherman & Grant Street to School
Street, as provided for by Improvement Resolution No. 239-1910,
The Board met to hear remonstrances and take final action on
Declaratory Resolution No. 7:;-19111 to open and extend the roadway
leading from 2nd Street past the Crematory and Municipal Light
Plant. No remonstrance being filed with or presented to the Roard
against said proposed opening & extension, thereupon, -being Hilly
advised in the matter, the Board takes final action on said resol-
ution, confirming, without modification, all former action taken
on same. And the Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared
of all owners or holders of property, and of valuable interests
therein, sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected, which
list or roll shall also describe the property benefiaially affected.
A petition was presented, for the improvement of the alley between
North 17th & 18th Street, from North "E" St. to P. Co C. & St L.
Ry, By trading, graveling, bowldering & 3 brick center of said al-
ley between the points named, Mr. Zimmerman moved that the petit
ion be referred to the City Civil Engineer for plans etc, the same
to be cement instead of as petitioned for, motion prevailed.
A petition was presented for the improvement of U ain Street, by
constructing cement curb & ?utter on both sides thereof, and paving
the roadway with Brick, from the east side of 20th Street to the
east side fY 22nd Street, same was referred to the City Civil
Engineer for plans etc.,
yr. Zi=-Ierman reported that Ruben Rich Engineer for Steam roller
was going to quit his position on Saturday next. The position be
tendered to 011ie Staub, concurred in.
The Board direct the Richmond City 'Water Works to lay water main
In 'Nest 5th Street, from National Road to Main Street the city to
take one hydrant for said extension the said water Works to take
care of all over 50o feet the same�not`rbe charged up to the City
as per verbal agreement of Mr. Dill of said Water works.

roadway in said alley the full width thereof, between the points
named.

regard to having all gas & water lines laid before permanent street
time roof making an

yr, C. It, Moore, representing the West Side Improvement ga,o iet-
ion appeared before the Board, in regard to the dump used by the
city at the west end of the Doran Bridge, the same being in an
unsanitary and unsightly condition, Mr. Zimuerman.moved that t*.e
city burn the brush at the bottom of said dump and cease dumpi2
on this ground, and the City Engineer talk with contractors doi
street work close around, and prevail_ on them to dump good dirt
on the hill side to cover the unsightly condition of same,
The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract ander
Improvement Resolution No, 245-1911, providing for the improv-=t
Of South "A" Street, from South lst to 2nd Street, by constructer.
Cement curb & gutter on both sides of street and excavating the
roadway to finished grade, as the Starr Piano Company has filed
agreements with the City to pay the total cost of this improvemet
J766.00, the Clerk was directed to send a bill to said Company
for said amount.
