BURGHARD, ADMINISTRATOR FARMSTONE RIDGE UNIT 1 Mayor Rock called the meeting to order at 7:56 p.m. Present roll call stands. Mr. Michael Garrigan stated in accordance with Village requirements, the Public Hearing is required for creation of a dormant special service area. Mr. Michael Bordel, a Farmstone Ridge resident, asked if this was unique for Plainfield or if it existed in other communities and asked what this meant. Administrator Burghard explained that it is in use in other subdivisions in Plainfield and it is growing in use in other communities. There are certain features within your subdivision where the homeowners are assessed-a maintenance fee to take care of the entranceway, park, and whatever the subdivision may have. The Homeowner's Association pays for the maintenance, if the maintenance is not kept up, the Village would enact the dormant special service area and would tax just those residents who live in that subdivision to maintain that portion. There were no more public comments. Trustee Thomson moved to close the Public Hearing and return to the regular business meeting. Seconded by Trustee Calabrese. Vote by roll call.
