Thursday June 8th, 1911,
The Board reeelved a request from the C. & 0. Ry. Co., of Indiana,

column would be a dangerous and serious obstruction, and thereupon
direct the Clerk to so notify the aforesaid company, that the re-
quest cannot be granted.
Chas. Shiv6lopy appeared before the Board giving notice that the
dirt abutting his property on west 5th Street, under a desision of
law belonged to him, and directed that the contractor P. Hipskind
& Sons, be notified that as soon as the same is excavated, he would
have the same removed to his property.
The Board receives bids for the improvement of the alley between
North 12th & 13th Street, from North "A' to "B" Street, by paving
the roadway with one of the following kinds of modern pavenents,
to -wit:- Concrete - Brick - Asphalt,- Creosoted Woden Block, as
provided for by Improvement Resolution No. 261-1911, as follows:-
" Daniel G. Burkhardt, Bid:
Concrete roadway - - - - 12 cents per square root,
" Nolte & Thompson, Bid:
Concrete roadway - - - - 13.3/4 cts, per square foot
" Schneider Bros, Bid:
Concrete roadway - - - - 15 centq per square foot.
" F. E. Slick, Did:
Concrete roadway - - - - 15 cts. per square foot.
And the.Board now enters its preliminary order, designating
that roadway iu said alley be laid in cement, in accordance with
the plans and specifications.
The Board receives bids for the improvemont of South 1.3th Strut,
by constructing cement sidewalks 6 feet wide on both sides of said
street, from South "B" to "D" street and on the west side from
South "D" to "E" Street: Also cement curb & gutter on both sides
Of Bald street from South "C" to "E" Street, as provided for by
Improvement Resolution No. 260-1911, as follows:-

The bid of Jas. L. Horning being the lowest and within the es-
timate of the City C1v11 Engineer, the Board not being satisfied
as to the said Jas. L. Horning's ability to finish said contract
within a rea:aonable time, take said bids under advisement until
Monday June 12th, 1911.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution 110. 265-191.
providing for the construction of a cement roadway the full widti
thereof, in the first alley south of main Street from South 10th
to South llth 0treet,
The Board unanimously adol ted Improvement Resolution No. 266-1911
providing for the construction of sanitary sewer in North 'A' St,
from the 1st alley east of North 3rd Street: thence east in North
'A' Street 425 feet: Also in the alley North of North 'A' Street,
let west of North 5th Street,
Richard Sedgwick, appeared before the Board requesting Permissfo
for tem orar to in sewer,in the alley between Richmond Ave. &
Randolph Streetpon West 5h Street, the Board takes same under
advisement.
