HomeMy Public PortalAbout01-03-1966 s MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT PLANT The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City, Monday, January 3, 1966 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est). Councilman Youngflesh presiding with the following members being present: Messrs. Backmeyer, Bell, Henn, Hilligoss, Hollingsworth, Marino, Faust and Yount. The following business was had to wit: IIICouncilman Marino moved the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with, seconded by Councilman Hollingsworth and on voice vote was unanimously carried. Councilman Bell moved the following claims be allowed and paid, seconded by Council- man Hollingsworth and on voice vote was unanimously carried. Approved the following Bills in the amount of $107,959.2 7 ° . 2 Payrolls ' 87,897.14 Payment of Int. Coupons 1953 Revenue Bonds 520.00 Payment .of City Dividend $726,655.75 Authorization approved December 20, 1965 Purchase of U.S. Treas. Notes from Cash Reserve Fund - Principal $129,106.25 Accrued Interest 617.68 $12 9,723.93 Chairman Youngflesh noted that the bills included the dividend of $726,655.75: to the City of Richmond. General Manager Beck reported that there is a claim from the Black and Veatch:in the. sum of $8,849.66 that will be discussed at a later .date. IIIGeneral Manager Beck reported that reservations were he ing taken for -the Committee • of 100 Annual Meeting to be held January 12, 1966. Mir. Beck outlined the rates for dues for Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce. This will be discussed ,at a later meeting.
