The Board of Public Works of the City of Rlchmmnd, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board on Thursday
June 15th, 1911, at 9 O'clock A. u. All the members of said Board
being present, Messrs, Hammond, Charles and Zimmerman,
The following proceedings were had, to=.sit:-
The board approves the contract & bond of Nolte & Thompson, for
the improvement o; Sout4 "H" Street, from South 9th to 12th St,
as provided for by ImProveno,nt Resolution No. 25a--1911,
The Board approves .the contract & bond of Daniel 0. Burkhardt, for
the improvement of South 13th Street, from South "C" to "E" St,
as provided for by Improvement Resolution No, 26u-1911,
The Board meets to hear remonstrances, if any from persona primar-
illy assessed on account of the improvement of South 2nd Street,
by the construction of cement sidewalk on the west side thereof,
and cement curb & gutter on both sides from Bain to South "A" St.,
as provided for by Improvement Resolution No. 228-1910, No one
appearing or remonstrating, the Board approves a final assessment
roll as heretofore approved, and orders the same transmitted forth-
with the Department of Finance.
The Board meets to hear remonstrances, if' any from persons pr1r,ar-
illy assessed on account of the improvement of South loth Street,
by the construction of cement sidewalk on both sides off street
except where cement construction of good quality already exists &
at grade, as provided for by Improvement Resolution No, 232-1910*
No one appearing or remonstrating, the Board approves a final assess-
ment roll as heretofore approved, and orders the same transmitted
forthwith to the Department of Finance.
A petition was presented for the improvement of South 17th Strut,
by constructing cement sidewalk & cement curb & gutter on both

A petition was presented, for the improvement of the alley between
South 17th & 18th Street, by constructing a cem^nt roadway the
full width of alley from South "A" to "B" Street same was referrrd

The board direct the Finance Department to pay The Su111van Cement
Stone Co. $36.3.43 of the:$48$,43.retained ander Improvement Resol-
ntion No. 171-1909, providing for the improvement of West 2nd Sto
±'rom Kinney ;treat, to the South-west "E" Strent, the sum of $10..
being >till retained for any defects which may occur.
The Boar,l direct the Finance Department to pay The Sullivan Cement
Stone Co., $216,f4 of the $316.94 retained under Improvement Rea'

The Board fix the amount of benefits on the vacation of the
alley 1st south of North "F" Street, running from North 8th
Street to the first alley west at $29,00, under Declaratory
Resolution '.'o. 52-19109& order assessment roll accordingly.

The C-ity Civil Engineer filed estimates on the following
Improvement Resolutions as follows:- 262-1411, cement roadway
In the alley bet,veen Soutn loth & llth Street, from South 'E'
to "F" Streot, 263-1911, East ].fain Street, from North 20th St,
to North 22nd Street, by constructing cement curb & gutter
on both sld�s tf?ereof & paving, the roadway with one of the
following kinds of modern pavements, Brick, rorcrete, Asphalt,
or Creosoted Wooden Block. 264-1911, cemant roadway in the
alley between North 17th & 18th Street, from N°rth a' to
