The Board of Public PJorks of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Hoard on Monday
June 19th1
1911, at 9 o'clock A, tie All the members of said Board
being present, Messrs, Hammond, Charles and Zimmerman,
The following proceedings were had, to -wit: -
The Board meets to hear all persons interested or whose property
is affected by the following described public improvement:
Improvement Resolution No. 262-1911, providing for the improve_
ment of the alley between South loth & llth Street, by construct-
ing a cement roadway the Hall width of said alley, from South °E"
to "F" Street. A remonstrance having bePn filed with the Board
signed by a majority in number of the resident property owners
the Board can proceed no farther under said resolution unless
authorized by an ordinance passed by the Common Council and approved
by the Mayor,
The Board meets to 'near all persons interested or whose property
is affected by the following described public improv�m�nt:
Improvement Resolution No. 263-1911, providing for the improvement
of East Idain Street, from North 20th Street to the east side of
North 22nd Street, by constructing cement curb & gutter on both
sides, and the paving of the roadway with one of the kinds of
modern city pavements, to -wit:- Concrete - Brick - Asphalt - or
Creosoted Wooden Block, After hearing all interested persons who
appeared, the Board now postpones further action on the said
resolution indefinately, to be taken up among the first inprove-
ments next year,
The Board meets to hear all persons Interested or whose property
is affected by the following described public improvement:
Improvement ReaO1.utIon No, 264-1911, providing for the improve-
ment of the alley between North 17th & 18th Street, by construct-
ing a cement roadway the full width thereof, from North "E" to
Railroad Street, After hearing al: interested persons who appear-
ed, and interested property owners remonstrating aP,ainst said
improvement being made with cement and petitioning that the same
be a bowldered alley, the Board thereupon direct the City Civil
Engineer to prepare an estimate on bowldering said alley, and
Postpones further action on said resolution until Monday July 3Td
191i.
A Petition was presented for the construction of cement sidewalk
5 feet wide, & cement curb Pc ,gutter on both sides of North "p'^ St,
from 1lorth 20th to 24t'd Ptre:t, same was taken under advisements
A Petition was presented for the construction of a cement road-
way in the alley between South 2nd &.3r(i Street from South "A"
to ^oath "B" `i,. tr99t9 same was ret,erred to the City Civil Engineer
The Board approves a primary assessment roll of benefits and
damages in the matter of the vacation of the alley first Bout" of
North "F^ Stragt, running from west line of North Sth Street to
the all running northwestwardly from North Sth Street to P!°r910.

Mr, Johnson, Sup I t , , of Light Plant was given permission by the
Board to sell old multiple Are Lamps for the sum of $5,00 each.
Mr. Gardner City Attorney' stated that the Judge in the case of
Clifford VS, City of Richmond: had rendered a decision adverse
to the city and recommended that the etty appeal from Bald decis-
ion, on motion of Mr, Zimmerman the City attorney was lnstructpd
to takq an appeal in said cause.
Pursuant to postponement the Board takes up the matter of oondem-
ning and appropriating sufficient lots & lands to procure right-.}
of -way to. construct & maintain a sewer between Runt & Ridge
running from Maple to School Street, as provided for by Declara-
tory Resolution No, 68-1911, a remonstrance against said oaroh
nation having filed by Frank C. Arnold et -al, on Thursday
2nd,• 1911. the Board after again going over, -and. viewing the
grounds and being duly advised in the premises, overrules the
same, And now the Board takes final action POnasaid resolutionthe
