The following proceedings were had, to -wit: - A petition Was presented, by Chas. E. Bell, to construct under private contract. a 7 foot cement sidewalk on the National Road, beginning at Rest 5th Street and running, west about 230 feet, same was taken under advisement. :he Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 271- 1911, providing for the improvement of the south side of Rich- mond Avenue, from the west end of Doran Bridge to tb, east line of west 1st Street, By constructing cement sidewalk 7 foot wide, curb & gutter: llso macadamizing the roadway between the points named. The Board unanimously adopted Improvemert Resolution No.275-1911 providing for the improvement of the 2nd alley south of Main Street, from South 4th to 5th Streit. By constructing a cement roadway in said alley the full.wldth thereof. The City Civil Engineer reported the cpmpletion of the contract under Improvement Resolution No. 225-1910, providing for the %improvement of South 4th Street from Main Street to South "E" ttreet, BY constructing cement sidewalks of a width as follows, On the west side from main to South "A" Street - 12 feet wide, On the east side from Rain Street to first alley south - 14 fte ride, and on the remainder of said street on both sides thereof 6 feat wide. The Board accepts the same and orders asse3sm?nt roll p^=pared. The Clerk presented an itemized report of the coat of the several bridges repaired by the city, On motion the City Attorney and Prest., of Board were ordered to present the same to the Board Of Commissioners of Wayne County, Indiana, at there next meeting, The Board direct the City Civil Engines to employ competent r1611 to repair the floor in the 'slain Street Bridge, The Board extend the time of Jae. L. Horning, in viniuh to com- plete the improvement of West let Street, also Kinsey Street, to September 1st, 1911. On motion of Mr. Zimmerman, the Clerk was directed to notify the corlpanies submktting bids for the water supply of the city, to meet with the Board on Thursday July 27th 1911 at 9 O'clock A. 11. Also the members of the Common Council, motion prevailed• ii The Board direct the Clerk to notify ti!e .11 't. of 1,ight Plant to install the lights as recommended by the police Department, ay under the direction of up't,, of Police. Monday July 2fth, 1911, 47 11 The Board approves a primary aeseasmsnt roll, In the twtt(•r of the improvement of the alley first north of North °A" street, from North 7th to 8th Street, by constructing a 0ement roadway In said alley the full width thereof, betwer;n the points named, as provided for by Improvement Reoolution No. ?.49-1911. The Board received hid for the Improvement of the alley betwlee, North 17th & 1Pth Street, by grading, graveling, bowldering and ,3 brick center of said alley, from North ■F" Street to Railroad Stre,•t, as provided for by Improvement Resolution No. 264-1911, as follows, to-wit:- F, F. Slick, bid: Alley complete - - - - $1.85 per lineal foot. The said bid of F. E. Slick, being above the estimate of the C1 ty Civil Engineer, the contract is not awarded, and the Clerk was directed to re -advertise for bids. The Board did then adjourn, President of Board.
