PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
PUBLIC HEARING
DATE: SEPTEMBER 15, 2003
AT: VILLAGE HALL
BOARD PRESENT: R. ROCK, S.THOMSON, J.WALDORF, P.FAY, R.SWALWELL,
M.COLLINS, AND K.O'CONNELL.
OTHERS PRESENT: SJANIK, VILLAGE CLERK; J.HARVEY, ATTORNEY; T.L.
BURGHARD, ADMINISTRATOR; APERSONS, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR; J.TESTIN,
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR; M. HILL, PLANNER; M. GARRIGAN, VILLAGE
PLANNER; C.MINICK, MANAGEMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR; S.LARSON, ENGINEER;
AND D.BENNETT, CHIEF OF POLICE.
CANTERBURY WOODS ANNEXATION
The Public Hearing was opened at 7:20 p.m. Present roll call stands.
Steven Rhoades, Attorney with Law firm of Dommermuth, Brestal & West with an office at 111
West Downer Place in Aurora represented FBF Development. Mr. Tonnelli, representing Ruttiger,
Tonnelli and Associates presented a very thorough plan for Canterbury Woods Subdivision which
was revised using Boards suggestions/comments from the August 4th meeting. All outstanding
issues that were listed as stipulations have reached resolution.
Administrator Burghard ask~:d if the developer would agree in the annexation agreement that they
represent in their sales trailer adequate representation that wetlands are wetlands and that the water
courses will be treated in a modem environmentally conscious manner and not necessarily
manicured. The developer stated that they would also incorporate that in their covenants on the
property that would be recorded prior to sale of any lots.
There were no other public comments.
Board ¿omments: They all agreed that it was an impressive plan, and were satisfied with the
modifications of the open space arrangement.
Trustee Swalwell moved to dose the Public Hearing and return to the regular business meeting.
Seconded by Trustee Fay. Voice Vote. All in favor, no one opposed. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8:02 p.m.
