Y, 8 members of the Common Council & two members of the Board of Public Works bein& present, Absent Messrs, 7.1=erman, rngelbert, Evans, Von Pein and Weishaupt. The following proceedings were had, to -wit: - Mr. HaAmond,President of Board of Public Works called the meeting to order: Mr.Ray Shiveley attorney for the Richmond City water Works, took up the proposal of the aforesaid company for supplying the City & Citizens with water for the neat 25 years, after some discussion of said proposal by the councilmen_ and citizens present it seemed to be the c4n0ise of opinion of the citizens present that the proposal of said company was not what the citizens of the City of Richmond. Indiana, wanted and thr proposal being finished, and Mr. Haonond having stated that The Edwin M. Campfield,'Co, desired another night to discuss the proposal of said company, Mr. Bartel, moved that the Council & Board of Public Works meet on Monday August 14th, 19110 at 7 30 O'clock P. 9, to discuss on said proposal of aforesaid company, motion prevailed. The Board of Public Works of the met in regular session at the offCity of Aichmond, Indiaiana, ice of eaid Board on nday August 14th, 1911, at 9 O'clock A, M. All the members of said Board being present, Messrs, Hammond, Charles and Zirrerman. The following, proceedings were had, to -wit: - Pursuant to summons Sup't., Whorton, & Foreman, Ccrdon of the Richmond Light heat & Power Co. appeared before the Board in regard to complaint spade by the Street Cornissloner as to them retarding him in macadamizing streets, The Board direct the Richmond Light Heat & Power Co., to prooeed & make thereneces- sary repairs on North 5th Street immediately, and in the ivture to have their said. repairs made, before the city is ready to re- surface or macadamize a street. The Board meets to hear all persona interested or whose property is affected by the following named Improvement:- Improvement Resolution No. 274-1911, providing for the improvement of the let alley south of Main Street running from South 6th Street to the alley running nc%rth & south between South 6th & 7th Street, by constructing a cement roadway in said alley the full width there- of, After hearing all persons interested who ai,yeared, and being fully advised in the premises, the Board decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engi- neer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as oriel nally adopted the same being confirmed without modification.
