MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A COMMITTEE
IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICIBMOND P01°WER
AND LIGHT PLANT, AUGUST 16, 1965
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a committee
in charge of the operation of the Richmond Power and Light Plant met in
regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City,
Monday, August 16, 1965 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est). Council-
man Youngflesh presiding with the following members being present: Messrs.
Backmeyer, Beil, Herd, HiLfigoss, Mari�n6, Faust and Yount. Councilman
Hollingsworth being absent. The following business was had to-wit:
Councilman Marino moved the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed
with, seconded by Councilman Faust and on voice vote was carried.
Councilman Yount moved the following claims be allowed and paid, seconded
by Councilman Paust and on voice vote was carried.
APPROVED THE FOLLOWING
Bills in the amount of $136,164.44
Payment of Int.Coupons-1953 Revenue Bonds 2,198.75
Purchase_ U.S.Treasury Bills-Cash Reserve Fund 128,030.93
TRANSr'ERS FROM CASH OPERATING FUND TO:
Utility Bond Fund $ 259 000.00
Cash Reserve Fund 53,641.73
Depreciation Reserve Fund 36,000.00
Mr. Beck rep&rted that the service facilities at the Riley School are
installed and ready to be cut over as soon as the paper work is com-
pleted with the Public Service of Indiana.
Mr. Beck stated that he had made an investigation of the costs of in-
stalling an Ice Making machine. The figures shows that the ice bill amounts
to approximately '$300.00 per year. An ice machine that has a 110 lb.
capacity costs $611.15. An ice machine that has a 225 lb. per day costs
$737.40. Installation in both cases would be approximately $5.00. No ,
action was taken on this matter.
Mr. Beck presented a recreational budget for the ensuing year of 0344..50.
Councilman Marino moved that this body approve the recreational budget
for the ensuing year in the amount of $34.4.50. This motion was seconded
by Councilman Bell and on voice vote was unanimously carried.
There being no further business presented on motion duly made, seconded
and carried the meeting adjourned.
