MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT, MONDAY, JULY 19, 1965
.The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a committee in
charge of the operation of the Richmond Power and Light Plant met in regular session
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City, July 19, 1965 at the hour
of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est). Councilman Youngflesh presiding with the following
members being present: Messrs. Backmeyer, Bell, Henn, Hilligoss, Hollingsworth,
Marino, Paust and Yount. The following business was had to-wit:
Councilman Yount moved the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with,
seconded by Councilman Bell and on voice vote was carried.
Councilman Marino moved the following claims be allowed and paid, seconded by
Councilman Hilligoss and on voice vote was carried.
APPROVED THE FOLLOWING
Payment of 1953 Rev. Bonds and Accrued Int. $111,707.50
Bills in the amount of 137,117.4.5
TRANSFERS FROM CASH OPERATING FUND TO:
Utility Bond Fund 25,170.63
Cash Reserve Fund 45,499.37
Depreciation Reserve Fund 36,000.00
AUTHORIZED AND APPROVED JULY 6, 1965
Purchase of U.S.Treasury Bonds from Depreciation Fund $199,750.00
Accured Interest 1,120.92
$200,870.92
Mr. Beck presented the following tabulation of bids received June 21, 1965 to
furnish Two (2) 15/20/25 KVA, 67/13.8 KV Transformers for Williamsburg Sub-Station:

Mr. Beck recommended the bid of the Wagner Electric Corp„ as above quoted.
Councilman Marino moved this body concur in the recommendation of the General
Manager, seconded by Councilman Yount and on voice vote was unanimously carried.
Councilman Henn moved that the General Manager be authorized to request the
Indiana-Michigan Electric Company to put into contract form, for review and further
study, the proposed new Purphgse—price plan. This motion was seconded by Council-
man Yount and on voice vote was unanimously carried.
Mr. Beck reported that he had received request from developers of a new sub-
division to put into practice of installing undergroudd service. Mr. Beck ex-
plained some of the advantages and disadvantages of this type of service.
