MINUTES OF THE METING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN
CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a committee in
charge of the operation of the Richmond Power and Light met in regular session
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City Monday, March 1, 1965 at
the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est). Councilman Youngflesh presiding with the
following members being present: Messrs Backmeyer, Bell, Henn, Hilligoss, Holl-
ingsworth, Marino, Paust and Youngflesh.
Councilman Yount moved the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with.
This motion was seconded by Councilman I�larino and on voice vote was carried.
Councilman Marino moved the following claims be allowed and paid, seconded by
Councilman Hilligoss and on voice Note was carried.
Approved the following:
Bills in the amount of U23,477.13
Two Payrolls 85,290.17
Payment of Interest Coupons-
1953 Revenue Bonds 168.75

Mr. Beck reported that he had sent out specifications for the removal, trans-
portation and reassembly of the Interconnection Transformer that will have to
be revamped. (138 KV 30/40/50 M.V..A. )
Mr. Beck gave a replrt of the number and amount of money spent on jobs that were
started and completed by the Engineering Department from the year 1958 through
1964. There are now two cars and six engineers in this department. In his •
opinion this department should have another car as there will be considerable
more work anticipated in the future.

• Councilman Marino moved that Mr. Beck be authorized to receive bids for an
intermediate or compact car for the Engineering Department. This motion was
seconded by Councilman Yount and on voice vote was unanimously carried.
Mr. Beck reported that he had received a IJage and Benefits Proposal submitted
by'the employees.
Councilman Yount moved the Wage and Benefits Proposal be referred to the
Employees Relations Committee o This motion was seconded by Councilman Paust
- and on voice vote was carried.
There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried, the
meeting adjourned.
