MINUTES OF THE IyETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE .OPERATION OF
THE RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT.

The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a conmAttee in
charge of the operation of the Richmond Power and Light, met in regular session
in the City Hall Monday, February 1,• 1965 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est).
Councilman Youngflesh presiding with the following members being present. Messrs.
Backmeyer, Bell, Henn, Hilligoss, Hollingsworth, Marino, Paust and Yount. The -
following business was had. to—wit:
Councilman Marino. moved the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with,
seconded by Councilman Yount and on voice vote was carried.
. Councilman Hollingsworth moved the following claims be allowed, seconded by Council—
man Henn and on voice vote was carried.

Payment of 1953 Revenue Bonds and accrued Interest $ 14,133.75
Two Payrolls .4$ 82,666.11
Bills in the amount of $ 74,208.59
Purchases made which were authorized January 18, 1965
U.S.Treasury Notes from Consumers Deposit Fund $ 9,971.8E
U.S.Treasury Notes from Depreciation Reserve Fund plus
Interest accrued $303,950.51
U.S.Treasury Bills from Cash Reserve Fund ?299,502.63
Councilman Henn,moved that Mr. Beck be authorized and directed to invest the sum
of $10,000.00 in addition to $300,000.00 authorized in January 18th meeting from
the Cash Reserve Fund of the Richmond Power and Light into U.S.Treasury Bills,
maturing November 30, 1965, with stipulation that said amount in the sum of
p10,000.00 will not be needed until the date of November 30, 1965. Councilman
Marino seconded this motion and on voice vote was carried.
Mr. Beck supplied each Council member with a review of the 1964 operations of
the Richmond Power and Light and gave a report on the figures submitted
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, seconded and:carried"`-
the meeting adjourned. -
