PUBLIC HEARING ON 2004 TAX LEVY
7:20 p.m.
Director Minick spoke briefly about the Tax Levy for 2004. The Ordinance reflects a proposed
property tax request of $3,518,550 for the total property tax levy, consisting of an operating
component of $3,400,000 and a bond and interest component of $118,550. This tax levy request
represents an increase of $1,006,567 (40%) over the 2003 tax levy. While this increase is large, it is
due almost entirely to growth and annexation of new property in the Village.
There were no other public comments made.
J. Waldorf moved to close the Public Hearing and return to the regular meeting. Seconded by J.
Dement. Voice vote. 5 yes, 0 no, 1 absent. Motion carried.
