MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE
RICHMOND COMMON COUNCIL SERVING
AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE
OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER
AND LIGHT
DECEMBER 16, 1963
Regular session was called to order at 7:00 by Chairman Marino in the
Council Chambers in City Hall - All members present - The following
business was had to wit :
IICouncilman Johnosn moved that the reading of the minutes of the previous
meeting be dispensed with, seconded by Councilman Corsi, unanimous voice
vote.
Councilman Youngflesh moved to allow the payment of bills in the amount
of : $118,119.07 Plus - Interest Coupons "1953 Rev. Bonds"
$ 225.00
seconded by Councilman Corsi, unanimous voice vote.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPROVED THE FOLLOWING TRANSFERS FROM CASH
OPERATING FUND TO:
Depreciation Reserve Fund -- $36,00000
Utility Bond Fund - 25, 991.04
Cash Reserve Fund - 54,567.74
General Manager Beck reported that the RP&L Plant broke weekly and
daily records last week for the system demand due to the cold weather.
Councilman Yount moved to authorize General Manager Beck to proceed
with a request to the judge of Wayne Circuit court to appoint appraisers
for the possible sale of the 7500 KVA Transformer, seconded by Council-
!' man' Corsi, unanimous voice vote.
General Manager Beck reported that he was preparing a revision of the
GPR rate, and would have the details to submit at the next meeting.
City Attorney Cecere reported that he would transfer all files, data
and information in possession to the new City Attorney, concerningthe
pending damage suits filed to recover money from electrical companies,
charged with collusion in selling materials to the PR&L, and would have
all future direc€ivesand information sent to the new address.
Board Chairman Frank Marino, thanked all concerned for /their cooper-
ation with him during the past year.
