HomeMy Public PortalAbout06-03-1963 66 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE RICHMOND ' COMMON COUNCIL SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT. 3, 1963 t 5l�3 Regular session was called to order by Chairman Marino at 7:00 PM, in the Council Chambers in City Hall . All Members were present. The following business was had to wit : Councilman J. Hoskins moved that the reading of the minutes of the pre- vious meeting be dispensed with, seconded by Councilman Johnson, unani- mous voice vote. Councilman Johnson moved that the bille in the amount of : $99,757.63 Plus T Interest on 1953 Revenue Bonds 45.00 Three (3) Payrolls 122 ,439.54 be allowed and paid, seconded by Councilman J. Hoskins , unanimous voice vote. Councilman Johnson:moved that the Board of Directors concur with the redommendaticn.of General Manager Beck to award the bid for a 1963, 6 Cyl. 2 Door Sedan to the Dea Meadows Ford Agency on their low bid of $1634.05 with 1957 Plymouth trade4in for a Ford Falcon, seconded by Councilwoman C. L. Hoskins , unapous voice vote. , Councilman Yount moved to concur with General Manager Beck's recommenda- tion to accept the low bid of Vivian Buick for a 1963 1-ton truck of $2584.50, seconded by Councilman Henn, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Henn moved to take under advisement quotations submitted by Westinghouse Electric and Richmond Electric for Street lighting equip- ment for the 1963 program, seconded by Councilman C. L. Hoskins, unani- mous voice vote. General Manager Beck reported that there would be an open house et the New Service Building and the Whitewater Vglley Station, Jane 9, 119.6}3 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for the general public. The Auxiliary Police will assist in parking of cars. General Manager Beck reported that the South 8th St. Office had been broken into, and the night depository box robbed of its contents and it would be some time before it would be known how much was taken. Beck said that the depository service would be discontinued for the time being. There being no further business the meeting adjourned. President Attest: Clerk
