MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE RICHMOND
COMMON COUNCIL SERVING AS A COMMITTEE
IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT
RegudIar session was called to order by Chairman Marino at 7:00 PM,
in the Council Chambers in City Hall, All members present. The follow-
ing business was had to wit:
Councilman Yount moved that the reading of the minutes of the previous
meeting be dispensed with, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh, unanimous
voice vote.
Councilman Youngflesh moved that the bills in the amount of $144,629.42
and interest on 1953 revenue bonds in the amount of $75.00 be allowed
and paid, seconded by Councilman Corsi, unanimous voice vote.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPROVED THE FOLLOWING TRANSFERS FROM CASH OPER-
ATING FUND TO:
Depreciation Reserve Fund $36,000.00
Mtility Bond Fund 26,491.05
Cash Reserve Fund 37 ,699.48
Councilman Yount moved to approve General Manager Beck's . recommendation
to held an open house for the general public at the new service building
June 8th, & 9th! seconded by Councilman J. Hoskins , unanimous voice vote.
General Manager Beck reported that the maintenance program at the ,White-
II water Valley Station has been completed, with only minor repairs needed
to be done.
General Manager Beck presented proof of publication that this date had
been set to open sealed bids for a new 1963 1-ton truck .and a new 1963
passenger car, Councilman Corsi moved that the bids be accepted and
filed, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh, unanimous voice vote.
The following bids were oprened :

Councilman Youngflesh moved to refer the bids to General Manager Beck
for tabulation and studyq. The bids are to be studied as, to the meeting
of the specifications. The move was seconded by Councilman Yount ,
unanimous voice vote.
