MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE RICHMOND COMMON COUNCIL SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT =:MAY -6,_ 1963 Regular session was called to order by Chairmen Marino at 7 :00 PM, in the Council Chambers in City Hall. All members were present. The following business was had to wit: Councilman Yount moved that the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting be dispended with; seconded by Councilman Corsi, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Youngflesh moved to allow payment of : Bills in the amount of $125,814.76 Interest on 1953 Revenue Bonds - 547.50 Inve nt in U.S. Treasury Bills from Ash Reserve Fund 4 123,160.28 Two Payrolls : $39,843.51 40,668.60 80,512.11 motion seconded by Councilman Yount,and carried by unanimous voice vote. Councilman Yount moved that the Board of Directors adopt and sign the contract between the Richmond Power and Light and the Public Service Company of Indiana, for the purchase from the PSC of Indiana, of 72 custoners and approx. 14 miles of transmission lines for $58,352.00, seconded by Council,an Corsi, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Youngflesh moved that General Manager Beck be authorized to submit a rate for All Electric Hoies to the Public Service Commission for approval, seconded by Councilman Lawler, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Youngflesh moved that General Manager Beck be authorized to advertise for sealed bids to replace a 1957 Plymouth and for the per- chase of a 1-ton Dump Truck, seconded by Councilwoman C. L. Hoskins, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Youngflesh moved that the Richmond Power and Light be auth- orized to engage a colledtionaagency to recover payment of past due charges for electricity, seconded by Councilman Henn, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Marino reported that a Street Light installed at the play- ground in Berry Field has not been turned on p Mr. Beck will inves- tigate. There being no further business, Councilman Yount moved to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Corsi, unanimous voice vote. Chairman II Attest : Clerk
