FEBRUARY 4, 1963 Regualr session was called to order by Chairman Marino at 7:30 PM in the Council Chambers in City Hall. Councilman Johnson was absent. The following business was had to wit: Councilman Yount moved that the reading of the minutes of the pre- vious meeting be dispensed with, seconded by. Councilman Corsi, un- animous voice vote. Councilman Corsi moved that the bills be allowed and paid in the amount of - $60,428.81 Interest Coupons 5,547.50 Two Payrolls 78,050.84 motion seconded by Councilman Yount, unanimous voice vote. General Manger Beck presented proof of publication that this date had been set to open sealed bids for the purchase of two (2) new 1963 automobiles. Councilman Yount moved that the proof be accepted and filed, seconded by Councilwoman C. Hoskins, unanimous voice vote. The bids opened are as follows: - 2 Door - Trade In 1954 Chev. Mercury Comet. 1824.04 Councilman Youngflesh moved that General Manager Beck Tabulate and study the specifications and make a recommendation at the next regu'ar meeting, seconded by Councilman Yount, unanimous voice vote. General Manger Beck reported that for the month of January 1963, the system Demand was up 5.7% and the Net Peak Load was up 8.57% over January 1962. The toard of Directors approved a recommendation by the finance Committee to authorize the Richmond Power and Light to exchange $1,802 ,000.00 of US Bonds, motion made by Councilman Yount, seconded by Councilman Henn, unanimous voice vote.
