A ppecial .Meeting of Council was held to -day at 4:00 p.m.and was
attended by the Mayor and Councilmen Farr,Eepy and Horovitz.
It being necessary to appoint-three freeholdrs of the Town of Tybee
as managers for the election for a Mayor and Six Councilmen of the
Town of Tybee for a period of two years to be held on April 2, 1928,
Mr Espy made a motion that. Johnson A.Ryers,Lohn T.Collins and George
D.Cohn be appointed managers for the election and that each be paid
$ 5.00 each as compensation,this wls seconded by Mr.Horovitz and the
motion passed.
Mr.Horovitz informed Council that the representatives of the Star
automobile had given a demonstration of one of their closed models
at Tybee Sunday and that the test was very food - - - he also sug-
gested that the old Ford that now used by the Town be retained and
be used in misquito control work.
The Mayor said that the County was putting shell on the Tybee road
on the stretch from Lazaretto Creek to the asphalt paving,and as this
work was being done by motor truck he felt that the Town should pay
for the gasoline

A special was held to -day at the Town Hall ht %.15 p.m. to
receive the report of the election managers and was attende by
the Mayor and Councilmen Walthour,Cann,Farr,Logan and Horovitz,
and Tdwn Attorney iacIntyre,also the three election managers,
John T Collins,Johnson A Byers_ and Geroge D.Cohn.
The report of the managers of an election held this between
the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for a Mayor andSix Councilmen
of the Town of Tybee to serve for a period of two years from May 1,
1928,was read as follows:

We, the undersigned duly appointed managers of the
election held at the Town of Tybee,Chatham County,Georgia upon
April 2, 1928 for a kayor andSix Cou-cilmen_of the Town of Tybee
for a period of Two years , do each hereby certify under oath that the
said election waa held in the manner and at the time contained in
the notice calling said election and that the laws of the State of
Georgia and efthe Town of Tybee were in all respects fully complied
with,that said election was faithfully and impartially conducted and
that the results of said election were as follows;
