Home My Public Portal About070-2005 - Grant - US Corp for Natl Svc. - RSVP AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 70-2005 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE UNITED STATES CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL SERVICE WHEREAS, The United States Corporation for National Service has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department desires to submit a grant application to obtain funds that will be used by the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program operated by the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department; and WHEREAS, a total local match of Thirty Percent (30%) or Eleven Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Five Dollars and No Cents ($11,565.00) is required, of which Three Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($3,000) shall be from the 2006 Budget of the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: 1. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the United States Corporation for National Service. 2. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Thirty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Forty-Seven Dollars and No Cents ($38,547.00), contingent upon a total local match of 30% or Eleven Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Five Dollars and No Cents ($11,565), of which Three Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($3,000) shall be from the 2006 Budget of the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department. 3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department, shall be appropriated to fund programs and services provided by the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.
