June 5, 1961 Regular session was called to order by Chairman Marino at 7:00 PM, in the Council Chambers in City Hall - All members present - The following business was had to wit: • Councilman Johnson moved that the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with, seconded by Councilman J. Hoskins, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Henn moved that the bills in the amount of * - - $100,560.81 Plus 2 Payroll 68,543.94 Plus Interest coupons 1953 Revenue Bonds 210.00 Total - - $169,314.75 be allowed and paid, seconded by Councilwoman C. Hoskins, unanimous voice vote The following. sealed bids were opened by General Manager Beck for a truck chassis: "D" Meadows Ford Ford $1,894.00, Raper Sales, Inc. Dodge 1,8i9®00-. Kurdys Chev. Chev. 1,926.72 Councilman Yount moved that the bids be taken under advisement, and referred to Mr. Beck'for study and recommendation, seconded by Councilman J. Hoskins, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Yount moved that the Board approve the recommendation of General Manager Beck to install mercury vapor street lights, of the 250 watt, 10,000 ,1Lunen type, mounted .on wooden poles with overhead service, in Spring Grove at a rate of $5.00 a fixture per month, seconded by Councilman Smit1neyer, unanimous voice vote. City attorney Cecere was instructed to prepare the contracts. Councilman Henn asked Mr. Beck to prepare a lay-out for better lighting in front of Reid Memorial Hospital, and he would present it to the Hospital Board for the Hospital to consider installing Street Lights on US 27.
