HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-15-1961 15 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL SERVING AS A COMMITTED: IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT. May 15, 1961 Regular session was called to order by Chairman Marino at 7:00 PM, in the Council Chambers in City Hall. Mr. Johnson absent. The following business wqs had to wit: - - Councilman Henn moved that the reading of the previous minutes, meeting of May 1, 1961 be dispensed with, seconded by Councilwoman C. Hoskins, unanimous voice vote. Councilwoman C. Hoskins moved that the bills in the amount of $62,007.59 Plus following tranfers from Cash Operating Fund To Utility Bond Fund 27,636.52 To Cash Reserve Fund 49,860.74 To Depreciation Reserve Fund 36,000.00 Total $175,504.85 be allowed and paid, seconded by Councilman J. Hoskins, ,unanimous voice vote. The Board authorized General Manager Beck to advertise for bids for a 3/4 ton chassis and a special service truck body, designed by line superintendent Ralph Bish of the Richmond Power and Light. General Manager •Beck reported that residents of Spring Grove want to change their Street Lighting from the incandescent type to the Mercury Vapor Type and the plans are eleven additional lights to be installed. Mr. Beck asked the Board members to study a rate schedule to charge for the change-over. • Councilman J. Hoskins suggested that the members of Council study the possibility of making a part of the ground at the South side of the Light Plant available for industrial use. General Manager Beck reported that the R.W. Clinton Associates, would have a preliminary lay-out of the new Service Building available for in- spection by the directors by next week. • There being no further business the meeting adjourned. iL4yc/ • Chairman Attest: )(( Clerk
