HomeMy Public PortalAbout04-03-1961 12 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE RICHMOND LIGHT AND POWER. April 3, 1961 Regular session was called to order by Chairman Marino at 7:00 PM, in the L'ouncil Chambers in City Hall, Richmond, Indiana, all members present. The following business was had to wit: Councilman Johnson moved, that the reading of the previous meeting be dispensed with, seconded by Councilman Salzarulo, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Smithmeyer moved, that the bills in the amount of $76,961.59 plus :payrolls 69,339.74 Total $146,301.33 be allowed and paid, seconded by Councilman Yount, unanimous voice vote. General .Manager Beck reported that he had received tree trimming proposals from nine different companies and submitted a breakdown of the hourly cost of each, also a breakdown of two methods for tree trimming, "CLIMBING" with 5 man crew and " AERIAL TOWER" with 3 man crew. Councilman Yount moved that the proposals be taken under advisement for study and recommendation, seconded by .Councilman Smithmeyer, unanimous voice vote. • Councilman Yount moved that General Manager Beck be authorized to advertise for bids on a 3/4 ton Truck Chassis for the line service truck, seconded by Councilman Smithmeyer, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Smithmeyer moved that General Manager Beck be authorized to • advertise for bids for a new 1961 compact automobile to be used for Meter Reading, Collection of bills and the Purchasing Department, seconded by Councilman Yount, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Marino, Chairman of the Light Plant Committee, reported that a meeting of the Committee would be held April 10, 1961, at the Whitewater Valley Station, at 7:00 PM, • There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
