MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION •
OF THE RICHMOND PGI1ER AND LIGHT
March 6, 1961
Regular session was called to order by chairman Marino at 7:00 PM, in
the Council Chambers in City Hall, all members present. The following
business was had to wit:
Councilman,Johnson moved that the reading of the minutes of the previous
meeting be dispensed with, seconded by Councilman J. Hoskins, unanimous
voice vote.
Councilman Youngflesh moved that the following bills ba allowed and paid,
seconded by Councilman Salzarulo, unanimous voice vote.

General Manager Beck reported that the generation for February was off on
system demand 7.5 percent and the `peak load was off 1.66 percent from
February 1960.
Councilman Smithmeyer moved that the Board concur with General Manager
Beck's recommendation that the bid for a 10,000KVA Transformer made by
the General Electric Company, be awarded to them on their bid of $36,795.00,
'seconded by Councilman Youngflesh, unanimous voice wote. .
Councilman Smithmeyer moved that the bid for street lighting equipment be
awarded to-the Richmond Electric Co. on their bid of $54,437,90, seconded
by Councilman Salzarulo, unanimous voice vote.
General Manager Beck reported that he would mail reports on the new
proposed Service Building to the members of the Board of Directors this
week for study, and a meeting would be held at the Whitewater Valley
Station March 13, 1961 to discuss the reports.
Councilman Yount moved that the Board concurr with the finance committee
for the approval of the redemption of $10,000.00 in Revenue Bonds,
seconded by Councilman Henn, unanimous voice vote.
City Attorney Cecere submitted to General Manager Beck a report from
Washington, concerning price fixing on bids by Electrical Companies.
Mr. Beck prepare a list of equipment purchased, dates and bids during
the past 4 years, with the possibility of recovering;d.amages.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
