MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON
COUNCIL SERVING AS A COMMITTE IN CHARGE
OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND PGiJER
AND LIGHT.
November 21, 1960
Regular session was called to order by Chairman J. Hoskins at 7:00 PM in
Council Chambers in City Hall. Salzarulo absent, the following business
was had to-wit:
Councilman Johnson, moved that the reading of the minutes of the previous
meeting be dispensed with, seconded by Councilman C. Hoskins, unanimous
voice vote.
General Manager Beck, submitted copies of the contract with the Commonwealth
Associates, for approval and signatures to the Board of Diredtors. The
contract.is for making a survey for the proposed new Service Building.
Councilman Henn, moved that the bills in the amount of $413,607.15 ba allowed . .
and paid, seconded by Councilman C. Hoskins, unanimous voice vote. The
following transfers were included in the bills, from Cash Operating Fund:
(1) $50,560.82 to Utility Bond Fund Cash'
•
(2) $25,409.00 to Cash Reserve Fund
(3) $36,000.00 to Depreciation Reserve Fund
General Mamager Beck, announced a space heating rate for public schools of
1.5 cents per KWH. Councilman Yount, moved that this rate be adopted and that
Mr. Beck be authorized to submit the rate to the Public Service Commission,
seconded by Councilman Youngflesh, unanimous voice vote.
Councilman Smithmeyer, reported that $200,000.00 of bonds had been purchased
and deposited in bank safety deposit boxes.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

General Manager Beck, reported that he would have a schedule of rates completed
next week for Commercial and Industrial users of electrical heating.
