MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE
OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT.
October 17, 1960
Regular session was called to order by Chairman J. .Hoskins at 7:00 PM,
III in the Council Chambers in City Hall. Councilwoman C. Hoskins absent.
The following business was had to-wit:
Councilman Johnson, moved the reading of the minutes of the previous
meeting be dispensed with, seconded by Councilman Marino, unanimous voice
vote.
Councilman Marino, moved the bills in the amount of $179,861.75 be allowed
and paid, seconded by Councilman Johnson, unanimous voice vote. The
following transfers from Cash Operating Fund were included in the bills:
(1) $28,158.74 To Utility Bond Fund Cash
(2) $44,058.20 To Cash Reserve Fund
(3) $36,000.00 To Depreeiation Reserve Fund
Councilman Johnson, moved that the new Utility Wage Schedules be adopted as
submitted effective January 1, 1961, seconded by Councilman Smithmeyer,
unanimous voice vote. The pay increases effecting 166 employees will boost
the monthly plant payroll $2,432,07.
- Board Chairman J. Hoskins, reported that mercury vapor lights installed from
first to fourth streets on Main street are in operation.
Light Plant General Manager Earl Beck, was absent for this meeting, being
on vacation.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
