MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN
CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHTT.
September 19, 1960
Regular session was called to order by Chairman J. Hoskins at 7:00 PM,
in Council Chambers in City Hall. All members were not present, C. Hoskins
absent. The following business was had to wit:
Councilman Smithmeyer moved that the reading of the minutes of the previous
meeting be dispensed with, seconded by Councilman Johnson, unanimous voice
vote.
Councilman Youngflesh moved, that the bills in the amount of $192,754.68
be allowed and paid, seconded by Councilman Salzarulo, unanimous voice
vote. The following transfers were included in the bills:
From Cash Operating Fund :
$280158.75 to Utility Bond Fund Cash
$58,898.40 to Cash Reserve Fund
$36,000.00 to Depreciation Reserve Fund
Councilman Yount moved, to adopt the new unit plan schedule of billing the
City for street lighting and to authorize Light Plant General Manager Beck
to file it with the Public Service Commission of Indiana, seconded by
Councilman Henn, unanimous voice vote.
General Manager Beck, reported that the generation for August, 1960
system demand was up 1.38 % and the peak load was off 091 % from August 1959.
Light Plant General Manager Beck, recommended to the Board of Directors that
they retain the Commonwealth Associates, of `Jackson, Michigan, as Consulting
Engineers for the new proposed service center, referred to the Committee on
buildings.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
