Hoskins at 7:00 PM, in the Council Chambers in City Hall, all members present. ,The following business was had to-wit: Councilman Marino, moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh, unanimous voice vote.; The word sign was changed to flag in item number eight of the May 16, 1960 minutes. Councilwoman C. Hoskins moved the bills in the amount of $112,660.50 be allowed and paid, seconded by Councilman Marino, unanimous voice vote. The following transfers from Cash Operating Fund was included in the bills. (1) $26,755.21 to Utility Bond Fund Cash. Chairman J'. Hoskins named the following Committees. (a) Finance- Smithmeyer- Chairman, Johnson, Henn • (b) Street Lighting-C. Hoskins- Chairman. Salzarulo, Yount "(c) Buildings and Ground-Marino Chairman, Youngflesh J. Hoskins, as Chairman of the Board of Directors, will be an ex-officio member of all committees. The Board of Directors, authorized General Mgr. Beck to consult and retain the necessary engineering services to study and formulate plans for a new service building. Councilman Marino, moved to table the plan to purchase new Christmas lighting , seconded by Councilman Henn. The Board of Directors approved the purchase of a Ford tractor-mower outfit from the Robinson Bros, of Centerville, Indiana, on the recommendation of General Mgr. Beck, at the cost of $2,724.67. Mr. Beck, reported the generation this May as 3.9 per cent under May of 1959, and the peak load up 1.7 per cent over last May. For the first five months this year the generation is 2.5 per cent over the same period for 1959. The Board of Directors authorized General Mgr. Beck to purchase Revenue Bonds in the amount of $30,000.,00, offered at 895.00 per thousand, due 1/1/1982, bearing 3jj per cent interest, from John Nuveen and Company of Chicago. Councilman Marino, moved to grant permission to Mr. Beck to advertise for sealed bids for the replacement of a 1948 Diesel Crawler Tractor, seconded by Councilwoman C. Hoskins, unanimous voice vote. Councilman Yount moved to grant permission to advertise for sealed bids for the replacement of a 1947 z ton pick-up truck, seconded by Councilamn Young- flesh, unanimous voice vote. Mr. Beck, extended an invitation to the Board members to visit the Light Plant booth at the Home Show. Mr. Beck said, he would like for the members to report on a new type light fixture, mounted on ancornamental in front of the license bureau on South 3rd street. Chairman J. H oskins referred the matter to the Committee on street lighting. There being no further business, Councilman Marino moved to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Sglzarulo, unanimous voice vote.
