Friday June 9th, 1908.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the Office of said Board on Friday June
9th, 1905, at 10 O'Clock A. M. Messr's Zeller, Davennnrt and
Rosa, All the members of said Board being Present. The fni*oe'.n�
proceedings were had, To wits
Resolution number seven (7) was taken up and considered, and after
hearing all persons who appeared and being fully advised in the Ir
prenises, the Board decided that the benefits to property liable
to be assessed for the improvement V+ere4n designated, are enual
to its estimated costs as the same apn_ears from tie rennrt of Vie
City Engineer and thereupon the Board Lakes final action
upon said Resolution as originally adopted the same being confirmed
without modification.
The Bids for the furnishing of coal for the use of the City was
then taken up, and it was shown that the bids were as follows;
Mather Bros Co, bid for Pocahantas 12n Tons @ t3.R0 per Ton.
for 200 Tons Carbondale @ $2.65 per ton.
Chas S. Farnham, Bid for Pocahantas 120 Tons @ A% 9C per Ton.
for 200 Tons Carbondale, @ $2.59 per Ton.
Hackman Klehfoth & Co, Bid for 120 Tons Pocahantas f" 47,0" rer Ton.
for 200 Tons Carbondale @ $2.65 per Ton.
Hamilton Coal & Supply Co, Bid for 120 Tons Pocahantas @ *3.61)
per Tons and for 20n Tons Carbondale @ t2.42 1/2 per Ton.
After careful consideration the contract for 120 Tons Pocahantas
was awarded to the Hamilton Coal & Sunnly Co, end the Pnn Tons
Of Carbondale was awarded to Chas S. Farnham by the ur.animousvote
of the Board.

On motion the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the
improvement of the West side of North Thirteenth Street, by the
construction of cement sidewalks thereon, as designated in Resolu-
tion number Two (2).
On motion the Chief of Fire Department was instructed to purchase
a new striker for the alarm at number Three Hose House from the
Camewell Fire Alarm and Telegraph Co.
