COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANM,
MONDAY, SEPTE4BER 1601957

Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers in City- Hall. Council..
man Marino presiding. All members present. Minutes dispensed with on motion of Council-
man Walterman and seconded by Councilman Salzarulo. The following business was had,
to-wit;
Councilwomen Hoskins moved the bills be allowed. Seconded.by Councilman smithmeyer.
Unaminous.
Mr. Beck announced he had invited three companies to bid on a new transformer on
this date. The following sealed bids were opened and read aloud:
Allis-Chalmers Mfg.Co. 1509 KVA $11,045.00
2500 KV,I . 16,000.00
General Electric 1500 KVA • 11,045,00 •
2500 KV$ 16,000,00 .
- Westinghouse 1500 KVA 11,045.00
2500 KV 16,000,00
Councilman Crum moved these bids be taken under advisement. Seconded by Councilman
- Salzarulo. Uram-inousb •
Mr. Beck said the.MEL&PP had reinvested $100,000.00 in U.S.Treasury Notes & 2 7/8%
interest and due in June of 1958.
Councilman Vivian moved to grant a 3% wage increase to all WWF:T-PP employees, except
City Officials,effective September 23,1957. Seconded by Councilman Salzarulo. Unaminous
voice vote.
Claims in the.amount of $167,824.50 were allowed. Of, this amount the following trans •
-
fers were made:
$30,229.17 from Cash Operating Fund to Utility Bond Fund-Cash
$36,000.00 from Cahs Operating and to Depreciation Reserve Fund-Cash
$32,099.25 from Cash Operating 'und to Cash Reserve Fund.
There being no further business, on motion duly made and seconded, the meeting •
adjourned.
