MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL ,
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDL&NA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE INCCHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT,
, MONDAY,SEPTEMBER 3,1957
Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers in City Hall. Councilman
Marino presiding. All members present. Minutes approved as published. The following
business was had, to-:it;
IIICouncilman Salzarulo moved the bills be allowed. Seconded by Councilwomen Hoskins.
Unaminous voice vote.
Mr. Beck reported that the System Demand for August was down 3.08% from August of
1956 and the Peak Load was down 1.79% from the same period a year ago.
The Councilmen_ were reminded of a meeting with Mr. Beck regarding the new wage proposal
to be held in the conference room of the Whitewater Generating Plant on Thursday, Sept.

kn Mr. Beck reported that work had just been finished on the damage caused by the ice storm
'-'` last April and that it cost the Light Plant a total of $11,471.54.
1: Mr. Beek gave each Councilmen a letter from theHartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Ins-
urance Company regarding their recent inspection of the Johnson Street Station. He asked
they read and file with their copy of the interconnection contract. He said he would like
to have an open meeting some time in October to discuss and consider the letter, the in-
ter connection contract, the Johnson Street Generating Station and the future of the
Generating Plants.
Claims in the amount of $170,102.35 were allowed. .
-There being no further business, on.motion duly made and seconded, the meeting adjourned.
