MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA,SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE_.OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT,
MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 1957
Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers in City Hall.
Councilman Eastman presiding. Councilman Marino absent. .Lhe following businews

On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes were approved as published,,
Councilman Crum moved the bills be allowed. Seconded'by Councilman Walterman. Unaminous.

Mr. Beck reported the system demand wasl_down 2.7% from July, 1956 and the peak load was
down 3.73% for the same period.

Mr. Beck told the members of Council that the Light Plant was in need of a new hole digger
and presented_ the following.bids:

IIIUpon the recommendation of Mr. Beck, Councilman Vivian moved to purchase the Earth
Boring Machine from Highway Trailer Company for $9,125.00 and the truck chassis from
Whitewater Sales (International) for $3,833.28. Seconded by Councilman Smithmeyer.
