MINUTES OF. THE METING OF THE 'COMMON COUNCIL
OF. THE CITY OF RICHNOND,INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELMTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT.
MQNDAY. JULY 15, 1957
Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers in City Halle
Councilman Eastman presiding. Councilman Marino absetn. the following business
was had, to-wit;
Councilman Crum moved the reading of the minutes be dispensed with. Seconded by
Councilman Walterman. Unaminous.
Councilman Walterman moved the bills be allowed. Seconded by Councilman Cruy..
Uniminous.
Mr. Beck reported that he had received. the rate schedules of 8. or 9 utilities and
would make copies available to all members of Council for their study in relation
to the wage scale at the MEL&PPe
Mr. Beck also reported he would have specifications for a new pole hole digger_ at the
next meeting. He said the relocation of U.S. #27 would necessitate a lot of extra
work moving and relocating light poles and a new hole digger would aid in this work.
Bills in the amount of $311,735.23 were allowed. Of this amount, the following transfers
were made;
$30,229.1.7 - from Cash Operating Fund to Utility Bohd Fund
$36,O00e00 - from Cash Operating Fund to &preciation Reserve Fund - Cash
$23,222.05 - from Cash Operating Fund to Cash Reserve Fund
