MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATOR OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT.
MONDAY, MAY 6, 1957
Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers in City Hall®
Councilman Eastman presiding. Councilman Marino absent.
Councilman Smithmeyer moved the reading of the minutes Qf the previous meeting
be dispensed with. Seconded by Councilman Salzarulo. Unaminous.
Councilman Salzarulo moved the bills be allowed. Seconded by Councilman Smith-
meyer. _
Mr. Beck reported the system demand for April was down 1.89% from Apri1,1956
and the peak load was also down 4.3% for the same peried.
Councilman Crum moved that $1000000.00 be taken from the Depreciation Reserve Fund
and invested in United States Treasury notes. Seconded by Councilman Walterman.
Unaminous.
Mr. Beck presented the following bids to replace the #2 Light Plant car, a 1953
Chevrolet Coupe:
Raper Sales - Plymouth $1,1.55.00 net
E,W.Parrish.Rambler • 1,2?3.40 net
Dea Meadows-Ford 1,325.00 net
Kurdys--Chevrolet 1,445.00 net
Rhoads AutoPlymouth 1,584975 net
Councilman Salzarulo moved the bid be awarded to Raper Sales,Inc. Seconded by Council-
man Smithmeyer. Unaminous.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
