MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE. OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC. LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT.
MONDAY, MARCH 4, 1957 -
Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers ih.City Hall.
Councilman Eastman presiding, Councilman Marino absent. •
On motion duly made and seconded the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting
were dispensed with.
Councilman Crum moved the bills be allowed. Seconded by Councilman Thomas. •
Unaminous.
Mr. Beck reported hhat he had received two proposals for the Light- Plant valuation,
but would not refer them to Council for action until he received-an ddditional pro.4
posal. He remarked that the cost for the appraisal would be between seven and ten
thousand dollars.
Councilman Smithmeyer moved that the 40 acres of Light plant property be rented to '
Mr. Willard Woodruff, R R #r 2, for 1957, under the same terms as for 1956. Seconded
by CouncilmanThomas. Unaminous,
Mr. Bedk reported the system demand for February was down 7.12% from February 1956
and that the peak load for February was down 1.52% over the same period in 1956.
Claims in the amount of $114,840.33 were allowed.
