MONDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 1957. Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers in City Hallo Councilman Marino presiding. All members present. Councilman Smithmeyer moved that the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with. Seconded by Councilman Salzarulo. Unaminouso Councilman Vivian moved that the bills be allowed. Seconded by Councilman Thomas. Unaminous. Councilwomen Hoskins asked Mr. Beek if any more thought had been given to the lighting of Whitewater Blvd. Mr. Beck said he had been asked by the Board of Public Works & Safety to study the lighting in the •City and he would cover the subject when he makes-n recommen.. dations to the Board of Works. V IW� ''r' Mr. Beck reported he had received one estimate for the appraisal of Light Plant property, but that he would secure more and report at that time. rrY Mr. Beck said he wanted to replace a 1953 International'Truck and presented the figures received on bids. The following were received: Bids on new .chassis Whitewater Sales(International) $ 843.76 ' Raper Equipment Co.(Dodge) 850.00 Kurdys Chevrolet,Inc. (Chev..) 1025.00 Dea Meadows (Ford) 1065.00 Bids on Gen.. Service Body Melvin L.Aston Welding Co. 666.55 Miami Valley Truck Body & Equip. 681.15 Delphi Body Works 721.00 J.H.Holan Cor/ 773.19 McCabe-Powers Auto Body Co. 839.32 Councilman Salzarulo moved to buy the chassis from the Raper Equip. Co. for $850.00. Seconded by Councilwomen Hoskins. Councilwomen Hoskins moved to buy- the chassis.from the Miami Valley Truck Body & Equip. Co. for $681.15. Seconded by Councilman Crum. Claims in the amount of $191,154.18 were allowed. Of this amount the following transfers were made: $35,275.28 from the Cast Operating Fund to the Cast Reserve Fund 36,00000 from the Cash Operating Fund to the Depreciation Reserve Fund-Cash 30,520©84 from the Cash Operating Fund to the Utility Bond Fundo There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. resident Attest: City Clerk
