City Engineer, and the lowest bid offered, the contract for
said work was awarded to him accordingly.

Bids were received for the Improvement designated by Improvenenl
Resolution Number 789 For the Grading, Graveling and Bouldering
of Linden Avenue, from Lots 27 and 2P A. i'. Griffiths Add to
West Fifth street, Which bids were as follows, To -wit:-

Kr. Schneioer's Bid being beloo the estimate made by the City
Civil Engineer and the lowest beid offered, the contract was
awarded to him accordingly.
Ltr. Clements representing the i9ayne �iorks, appeared before the
Board and requested that in case that the improvement con
lated, (The construction of cement; sideralks along both sides
of North 16th, street, from North F street to the whitewater
river) was desired upon, that the Wayne 1'lorles, be granted the
privilege to construct the walk clop their property under
private contract, This matter was Laren under advisements
The Lnginaer presented plans for the construction of a sewer
along South Clst, street. which were laid over for further
consideration by the Board,

After clue consideration,(Improvement Resolution Number V
providing for the improvement of South A street, from South
CIst, street to South 233rd street, By the Grading, Graveling
and Bouldering of said street, and the construction of cement
sidewalks Five (5) feet in width thereon on both sides thereof,
and the construction of cement curbG and gutters along both
sioes thereof.) was adouted.
A petition was presented for the construction of cement roadway
in alley between South 18th and 19th streets, from S A street,
to 1st alley South of Lain street, thence West to South 18th,
street, Same was referred to the City Civil Fngineer for plans
and estimate.
The Clerk was instructed to prepare Resolution for the construc-
tion od a sanitary sewer in the alley between North llth and 12th
streets, from North H street to Whitewater river, and present
same for adoption at the next meeting of the Board.
A communication was received from Vs. H. Feterson, calling atten-
tion to persons dumping trash in alleys and streets South of
South G street, and requesting thet same be prohibitedo this
was placed on file.
A communication was received from Nixon Parer Comrany calling
attention to the fact that the retaining wall et Bridge Ave
rarer twill Bridge, which fell into the river bed, had not been
removed, and requesting that the same be removed. This matter
o'es referred to the Street Commissioner with In^trdetions tthet
he, remove same as sobn as convenient.
