There being no business transacted Feb 2nd, 1506, The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board on Wednes- day, February 7th, 1906. All the members of said Board being present, said meeting being opened at 10 O'CIOck A, 11, The following proceedings were had, to -wit: - Improvement Resolution number 40,(Providing for tie improvement of south "A" street, from 21st, street, to 27rd, street, By the Grading, Graveling and Bouldering of said street, and the constr- uction of cement sidewalks 5 feet in width thereon, on bot)� sides thereof, and the construction of cement curbs and gutters along both sides thereof) was taken up and considered, after hearing all persons interested who appeared, the Board decided that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement would equal or exceed the estimated costs of said improvement, as shown by the estimate made by the City Civil Engineer for said work, The Board thereupon modified said Reso- lution by providing for 4 1/2 foot sidei^alvs instead of Five foot walks as originally adopted, The Resolution as modified was then confirmed, All the members of the Board voting in the affirmative. A Petition was presented signed by, Chris B. Fulle et al, Preying for the construction of a cement sidewalk six feet wide on the East side of South Eleventh St, from S. E. to s. F. St. Which was referred to the City Oivil Engineer for plans and estimate Of cost. A Petition was presented for the construction od a cement side- walk on the West side of West First street, from Richmond Ave- nue to Randolph street, signed by Edw. Issen, et al, Action on same was deferred for one week, A petition was presented praying for the erection of an Arc light at the intersection of The National Road and Rest 7th, Street, signed by E. B. Grosvenor et al, same was placed on file, The Petition from Ora Little praying for the privilege to erect scales in front of hisrrronerty on Richmond, Avenue, was on motion referred back to said Little, as Board raid not have Jurisdiction in matter.
