MINUTFS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT,
MONDAY, DECEMBER 3, 1956
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Committee in charge
of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular
session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City, Monday, December 3, 1956,
at the hour of 7:00 P.M. (DST). Councilman Salzarulo presiding with following members
being present: Messrs. Crum, Eastman, Hoskins, Marino, Salzarulo, Thomas and
Walterman. Councilman Smithmeyer and Vivian being absent. The following business
was had, to-wit:
Councilman Marino moved that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as
published. Seconded by Councilman Eastman.
Councilman Marino moved that the bills be allowed. Seconded by Councilman Hoskins.
Mr. Beck reported that the system demand for November, 1956 was 1.43% below November,
1955 and that the peak load of November. 1956 was .26% over November, 1955.
Mr. Beck reported that the Whitewater Valley Generating Plant will be down during
January for maintenance and finishing of stack extension. Electric service will be
arranged with IndianaMichigan Electric Corp. for electric power for that period.
Mr. Beck reported that effective first of the year, refunds on residenti*l consumer •
deposits will be made to those who have established credit.
Claims in the amount of $222,291.36 were allowed.
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made and seconded, the
meeting was adjourned.
