MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT. MONDAY. DULY 16. 1956 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Committee in Charge of the Operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of said City, Monday, July 16, 1956, at the hour of 6:00 P.M. (CST). Councilman Salzarulo presiding with • the following members being present: Messrs. Crum, Hoskins, Marino, Salzarulo, Thomas and Waltermann. Councilmen Eastman, Smithmeyer and Vivian being absent. The following business was had, to utt: Councilman Waltermann moved and Councilman Thomas seconded a motion that the min- utes of the previous meeting be approved as published. CoVncilwoman Hoskins moved and Councilman Crum seconded that the bills be allowed. On voice vote was unanimously carried. The meeting was turned over to Mr. Beck. Mr. Beck reported that the generation for June. was 3.34% over the same period in • 1955. and that the. peak load for June was 5.81% over the same period in 1955. Mr. Beck said that the Engineers from Black & Veatch would be in Richmond to run tests on the cooling tower, heaters and..other equipment. Mr. Beck said he had a report from Black & Veatch and that he would mail a copy of this report to each of the Councilmen.. August 20, 1956 was the date established to have Mr. Harries appear 'before the Coun- cil to answer questions regarding dust and smoke control at the Whitewater Valley Generating Station. Claims in the amount of $431,916.88 were allowed. Of this amount the following transfers were made: The sum of $150,074.06 from Cash Operating Fund to Utility Bond Fund 7,500.00 from Cash Operating Fund to Construction Account..Fund 1,410.16 from Cash Operating Fund to Depreciation Reserve Fund 36,000.00 from Depreciation Reserve Fund to Cash Operating Fund 27.545.97 from Cash Reserve Fund to Cash Operating Fund There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourhed. /0-a-1,kd7.11A-4,' ) ,Chairman Attest: Z67/) ,� e77,e2___- City Clerk /
