MINUTES OF THE lTING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ,SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
• UNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT.
MONDAY. APRIL 16, 1956
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Committee in Charge
of the Operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular
. session- in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City, Monday, April 16, 1956,
at the hour .of 6:00 o'clock P.M. (CST). Councilman Salzarulo presiding with the follow-
ing members being present: Messrs. Crum; Eastman, Hoskins, Marino, Smithmeyer, Thomas,
IIIVivian and. Waltermann. ' The following business was had, to-wit:
Councilman Marino moved and Councilman Smithmeyer seconded that the minutes of the
previous meeting be approved .as published.
Councilman Smithmeyer moved and Councilman Salzarulo seconded that the bills be
allowed.
The meeting was turned over ,to Mr. Beck. .
Mr. Beck reported that City Engineer Deuker was checking with the State Highway •
T"! Department regarding the type of traffic light and the position of traffic light to
en be installed on North 10th Street and that-he had not received word from the State
i;,t-.3 regarding his inquiry.
Councilman Vivian moved and Councilman Walterinann seconded a motion for Mr. Beck to
contact the Public Service Commission of Indiana regarding the use of K and L rates
when using electricity to-heat homes.
Mr. Beck set the date of Friday, May 4, 1956, as the date for the Councilmen to-visit
the Johnson Street Plant.
Claims in the amount of $99.938.12 were allowed. Of this amount the following transfers
were made: The sum of

$29,169.15 from Cash Operating Fund tq Cash Reserve Fund
1,627.51 from Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash to Cash Operating Fund
29.80 from Consumer's Deposit. Fund Interest to Cash Operating Fund
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, seconded and carried,
the meeting adjourned. .
