ATION OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT. MONDAY, MARCH 19, 1956 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Committee in Charge of the Operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council Chambers. in the City Hall in said City, Monday, March 19, . 1956, at the hour of 6:00 o'.clock P.M. (CST). Councilman Salzarulo presiding with the following members being present: Messrs. Crum, Eastman, Hoskins, Marino, Smithmeyer, Thomas, Vivian and Wsltermann.111 The following business was had, to wit: Councilwoman Hoskins moved and Councilman Marino seconded that the minutes of the pre- vious meeting be, approved as published. Councilwoman Hoskins moved and Councilman Crum seconded that the bills be allowed. ,Councilwoman Hoskins asked Mr. Beck about plans for lighting Nhitewater Boulevard n� that runs along the Nhitewater River. Mr. Beck said that he would have an estimate M of the cost for such lighting at the meeting to be.held April 2, 1956. ^—i ,I. • Councilman Waltermann complained of inadequate lighting at South 8th and "B" Street. -;rj Mr. Beck will investigate and report back to the Committee. _ • Q _ The meeting was 'turned over to Mr. Beck. Mr. _Beck recommended that 8¢ a mile be paid Light Plant employees for the use of their private cars for Light Plant business. Councilman Marino moved that 8¢ a mile be allowed Light Plant employees using their private cars for Light Plant business, seconded by Councilman Eastman and on voice vote was unanimously carried. Mr. Beck reported that he had been ordered to move the light poles in the vicinity of the North 10th Street bridge in preparation for construction of .the new bridge III by the State Highway Department. Councilman Marino moved that the Light Plant.join the Richmond Traffic Safety Council at a membership fee of $10.00 per year. Councilman Vivian, seconded and on voice vote • was carried. • -Claims in the amount of $142,066.75 were allowed. _Of this amount the following transfers were made: The sum of . - , $36,000.00 from Cash Operating Fund to Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash 33,495.29 from Cash Operating Fund to Cash Reserve Fund 85.71 from Consumers Deposit Fund to Cash Operating Fund • There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, .the meeting adjourned. -,;-2-e2 _,off.",91.64>47- . - Chairman Attest• : /C/����z�G� D / 7 t - City Clerk
