MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS
A 'COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATTION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT.
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 1955
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in Charge of the Operation of the Municipal Electric Light-
ing and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall in said City, Monday, September 19, 1955, at the hour
II of 6:00 o' clock P.M. (CST) . Councilman Alkire presiding with the
following 'members being present: Messrs. Eastman, Kettelforder, Law,
Marino, Salzarulo, Tracy and Youngflesh. Councilman Riggleman being
absent. The following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with.
- Councilman Marino moved that this' Body go on record to thank all the
Light Plant Employees for their participation in the recent Open House
ZO program, which was a job very well done. Councilman Tracy seconded
"i this motion and on voice vote was unanimously carried.

The street light requested on North 13th Street between North "H" and
North "J" Street was voted upon. The following vote was recorded:
Ayes: Councilmen Law, Marino and Salzarulo. Nays: Councilmen Alkire,
Eastman, Kettelforder, Tracy and. Youngflesh. Absent: Councilman
Riggleman. The vote was five to three and said request was defeated.
Councilman. Tracy moved that the Clerk notify the Park Board requesting
that limbs- of trees be trimmed on North "G" Street between North 12th
and North 13th Streets.
Chairman Alkire appointed Councilmen Marino and Riggleman for the claims
IIfor October, 1955.
Claims in the amount of $323, 972. 07 were allowed. Of this amount the
following transfers were made. The sum of
9126, 791. 80 from Construction Account Fund to Cash Operating Fund
6, 068. 77 from Depreciation Reserve Fund to Cash Operating Fund
15, 191. 44 from Cash Operating Fund to Cash Reserve Fund
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, se-
conded and carried, the meeting adjourned.
