. MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT.
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1254 .
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in Charge of the Operation of the Municipal Electric Light-
ing and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall in said City, Monday, November 1, 1954 , at the hour
II of 7:00 o' clock P.M. (CST) . .Councilman Tracy presiding with the
following members' being present: Messrs. Alkire, Eastman, Kettelforder,
Law, Marino, Riggleman, Salzarulo and Yqungflesh. The following busi-
ness was had , to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with. .
On recommendation of Mr. Beck, Councilman Alkire moved that the sum
of 500, 000. 00 be taken from the Deprecia,tion Reserve Cash Fund of
01 the Municipal Electric Lighting and. Power Plant for the purchase of
short term government Bonds through the Second National Bank, Council-
'''.'''.:,' man Eastman seconded this motion and on voice vote was carried.

Claims in the amount of $4.14 , 070. 20 were allowed. Of this amount the
following transfers were made: The sum of
$89, 002. 31 from Construction Account Fund Cash to Cash
Operating Fund
31, 979. 16 from Cash Operating Fund to Utility Bond Fund Cash
25, 000.00 from Cash Operating Fund to Cash Reserve Fund
21, 040. 4.0 from Cash Operating Fund to Depreciation Reserve
Fund
36. 70 from Consumer' s Deposit Fund Interest Cash to
Cash Operating Fund.
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, se-
