MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT.
' MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 1954,
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in Charge of th6 Operation of the Municipal Electric
Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall in said City, Monday, September 20, 1954,
at the hour of 6: 30 o' clock P.M. (CST) . Councilman Tracy :presiding
with the following members being present: Messrs. Alkire , Eastman,
Kettelforder, Law, Marino, Riggleman, Salzarulo and Youngflesh. •
The following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the
previous meeting were dispensed with.
Mr. Beck reported that he had received three (3) bids for an
automatic sprinkler system for the Utility Building at the Light
Plant.
The following bids were received.:
Indiana Automatic Sprinkler Company 810, 748.00
Hayes Brothers, Inc. 10, 778.. 00
Viking Sprinkler Company .11, 325.00
A tabulation showed that the Indiana Sprinkler Company was low but
their bid was not complete. Mr. Beck recommended that the second •
lowest bidder which is the Hayes Brothers, Inc. be accepted.
Councilman Marino moved that the Hays Brothers, Inc. bid in the
sum of $10, 778. 00 be accepted. This motion was seconded by Council-
man Eastman and on voice vote was unanimously carried.
Claims in the amount of d 65, 479. 56 were allowed.
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made,
seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned.
