MONDAY, AUGUST 2, 1954. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Committee in Charge of the Operation of • the Municipal Electric Light- ing and Power Plant, met in regular session- in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said. City, Monday, August 2, 1954, at the hour of 0:00 o' clock P. M. (CST) . Councilman Tracy presiding with the following members being present: Messrs. Alkire, Law, Marino, Riggle- man, Salzarulo and Youngflesh.. Councilmen Kettelforder and Eastman being absent. The following business was had., to-wit: • On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. Mr, Beck reported that he had asked various companies for quotations for a sprinkler system to serve the Untility Building at the Light Plant. VD • Mr. Beck presented quotations received for the erection of a sufficient amount of 7 foot high fence to enclose an area 396 feet around the Cooling Tower basin at the Whitewater Valley Station. The following quotations were received: Century Fence Company 1, 981. 00 (erected) Ford Fence Company • 1, 405. 40 ( erected) On recommendation of Mr. Beck, Councilman Salzarulo moved that the Ford Fence Company bid be accepted. This motion was seconded by Councilman Alkire and on voice vote the motion was uananimously carried. • Councilman Eastman and. Alkire were appointed. as a Committee to study and make recommendation on the Petition received for the installation of a street light on Northwest 6th Street, between Main and Pearl Streets. Councilman Kettelforder and Youngflesh were appointed as a Committee to study and make recommendation on the Petition received for the installation of a street light between South 13th and. 14th Streets on South 'B" Street. Mr. Beck reported. that work on the Whitewater Valley Station was progressing very satisfactorily and the tests on the various machinery should be made around. December, 1954. Claims in the amount of 502, 004. 02 were allowed . Of this amount the following transfers were made: s1;151, 355. 28 from Construction •Account Fund to Cash Operating Fund 31, 979. 17 from Cash Operating Fund to Utility Bond Fund 20, 856. 35 from Cash Operating Fend to Depreciation Reserve Fund. Cash 25, 009. 00 from Cash Operating Fund. to Cash Reserve Fund There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, se- conded and carried, the meeting adjourned, • Chairman • Attest: City C1erl
