MONDAY, JULY 19, 1954. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a - Committee in Charge of the Operation of the Municipal Electric Light- ing and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City, Monday, July 19, 1954, at the hour of - 6:00 o' clock P.M. (CST) . Councilman Tracy presiding with the f ollow- ing members being. present Messrs. . Eastman, Kettelforder, Law, Marino, Sa.lzarulo and Youngflesh. Councilman Riggleman being absent.. The following buss iness was had, to-wit: On mo on `duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previ- ous mQetn;prwere dispensed with. 'CouncilMantEastman, Chairman of the Committee to investigate the . recuest'MT street lights on Starr Street, between North "A" and " B* Stre' : s, reported that an investigation had been made and re- commende.d that this request be rejected. On motion made by Council- man Eastman, seconded by Councilman Alkire and on voice vote it was unanimously carried to reject the request. On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the General Manager was _ given authority to purchase a new Burroughs Bookkeeping Machine to replo:c' ' an old one for a net price of ?2, 765. 00. Councilman 's Eastman moved that the General Manager be given authority to ask the -City Attorney to proceed with condemnation proceedings on four Dro'perty owners, after all negotiations have failed_ to obtain the right= f-ways for Dower line poles. This motion was seconded by Councilman Alkire and on voice vote was carried. The Committee allowed the claims in the amount of '$505, 4.56. 98. Of this amount the following transfers were. allowed: The sum of - $ '27, 907.28 from Construction Fund to Cash Operating Fund. 199, 998.00 from Depreciation Reserve Fund to Cash Operating Fund.
