MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 1954. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Light- ing and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City, Monday, February 15, 1954, at the hour of 7: 00 o' clock P.M. (CST) . Councilman Tracy presiding with the following members being present: Messrs. Alkire, Eastman, Kettel- Iorder, Law, Marino, Salzarulo and Youngflesh. Councilman Baldwin being absent. " The following business was had., to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. • The Clerk presented proofs of publications printed in the Richmond Palladium-Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of January 19 and 26, 1954 that sealed bids would be received until the hour of 7: 00 o' clock P.M. ( CST) on this date for furnishing f. o.b, cars at industrial spur `t track to 'be designated by owner in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana: One' (1) Power Transformer 25, 000 K.V.A.-Self Cooled with provision only for future 33, 333/41, 667 K.V.A. or One (1) Power Transformer 25,000/33, 333/41, 667 K. V.A. all in accordance with documents now on file at the office of the City Clerk. On motion duly made, seconded • and carried, the proofs were ordered filed. • The following bids were received, opened and read aloud: Allis Chalmers Item I $90, 436.00 Item II 98, 962.00 Westinghouse Item I 90, 111.00 Item II 98, 990.00 General Electric Item I 90, 464.00 Item II 98, 990.00 Pennsylvania Trans. Co. Item I 86, 242.00 Item II 94, 696. 00 Wagner Electric Co. Item I 87, 762.00 Item II 96, 486.00 The Moloney Electric Company failed to sign the Non-Collusion Affi- davit and did not include the required financial statement. On motion made, seconded and carried, all bids were referred to the General Manager and Engineers for tabulation and recommendation to this body. Mr. Beck announced that sealed bids would be received on March 15, 1954 for furnishing inter-communication equipment for the new plant. Councilmen Eastman and Youngflesh on the claims for the month of March, 1954. Action was deferred on the request of the Red Cross to place permanent collars on the street lighting standards. Claims in the amount of $117, 747. 54 were allowed.
